19 Easy Corn Recipes

Corn has quite the résumé for a humble grocery staple. It’s sweet and juicy straight off the cob in summer, but hand me a bag of frozen kernels, a can of corn, or a little cornmeal once the weather cools down, and I am still very much interested. I’m talking golden cornbread, creamy Thanksgiving sides, smoky street corn salads, and even a risotto that makes use of those leftover cobs (yes, really!). These 19 easy corn recipes prove you can get a LOT of mileage out of this affordable ingredient long after fresh corn season wraps up!

Cornbread Recipes Worth Saving Room For

There’s always a good reason to bake a batch of cornbread. It’s sweet, tender, and so very inexpensive to make. The basic recipe is already pretty wonderful, but throw in some cheese, sweet potato, or a drizzle of spicy honey, and suddenly you’ve got a whole new reason to make another batch.

The OG. The one everybody should have in their back pocket! Our homemade cornbread is made entirely from scratch with a handful of pantry staples, and it takes just 30 minutes from start to finish. It’s lightly sweet, beautifully tender, and honestly, I could eat a warm slice with butter any time of day. If you don’t know, now you know. 😉

Can we talk about just how good this sweet potato cornbread is?! Mashed sweet potato and sour cream make the crumb extra rich and moist, while a little cinnamon and nutmeg give it the most delicious warmth. It’s sweeter and denser than traditional cornbread, and I love serving it with a big bowl of smoky bean chili.

3. Chili Cheese Cornbread

This one takes the shortcut route, and I’m not mad at it. Two boxes of cornbread mix get a serious flavor upgrade with chili powder, sweet corn kernels, and a generous layer of shredded cheddar. The result is a slightly spicy, cheesy chili cheese cornbread that’s ready in about 30 minutes.

4. Hot Honey Cornbread

Remember when hot honey was having a moment? Yeah, I’m still not over it. 😋 This hot honey cornbread takes sweet, buttery cornbread and gives it a little kick with a warm honey-butter drizzle and red pepper flakes. Sour cream keeps the inside deliciously soft and cake-like, and that drizzle of sweet heat makes it an excellent partner for savory dinners.

Soft, creamy, cheesy, and just sweet enough to keep you coming back for another spoonful. This homemade corn pudding is somewhere between a savory custard and a very soft cornbread, with juicy corn kernels suspended in a rich mixture of eggs, half-and-half, sour cream, and cheddar. It’s made completely from scratch, with no boxed mixes or canned creamed corn! Frozen corn also keeps things convenient and brings the cost down to around $0.80 per serving.

I’m officially voting to leave the canned cream-style corn on the grocery store shelf this Thanksgiving! My homemade creamed corn is buttery and silky, with sweet corn and finished with Parmesan cheese for extra savory flavor. I make a simple roux to thicken the sauce, and frozen corn works just as well as fresh. The whole thing takes only 25 minutes, costs about $0.66 per serving, and is SO much tastier than anything from a can.

If you’re looking to change things up from traditional bread stuffing, give this Southern-style cornbread dressing a try. Crumbled homemade cornbread and toasted white bread soak up a flavorful mixture of broth, butter, sautéed vegetables, and herbs before baking until golden. It’s savory, moist, and slightly crumbly, with those lovely crisp bits around the edges. Better yet, one batch makes 12 generous servings, so it’s a smart choice when you’re feeding a crowd!

8. Cornbread Casserole

Cornbread Casserole

Two Thanksgiving sides, one baking dish. Now THAT is holiday cooking I can get behind! This cornbread casserole combines whole corn kernels, cream-style corn, cheddar, and boxed cornbread mix for a rich, buttery bake with a soft, creamy middle and a lightly crisp, golden top. It’s a little more substantial than corn pudding, but much softer than regular cornbread. I love how it’s an affordable way to get two favorites onto the table at once.

A Little Taste of Summer

There’s nothing quite like fresh sweet corn in the summertime, especially when the ears are piled high at the farmers market or on sale at the grocery store! That’s usually when you’ll find the best flavor and prices, so I like taking full advantage. These recipes make those fresh kernels shine, but you’ll find a few clever frozen corn options in the mix, too.

A bowl of cowboy caviar never lasts long once the tortilla chips come out! This colorful dip starts with inexpensive black beans and black-eyed peas, then adds crunchy vegetables and a zesty homemade lime dressing. I highly recommend stirring in some fresh or thawed frozen corn for extra sweetness and crunch. It’s a low-cost way to stretch the batch, and any leftovers are delicious spooned over tacos, salads, or rice bowls.

All the tangy, creamy, spicy flavors of Mexican street corn, minus the messy cob! Crispy golden edges, soft centers, little bursts of sweet corn, and salty feta cheese. Need I say more?! These sweet corn fritters are a delicious little appetizer, snack, or light lunch, especially with a dollop of sour cream or aioli for dipping. I make them with fresh corn when it’s in season, but frozen works too! Just make sure you thaw and dry the kernels thoroughly before frying to avoid excess oil splatter.

Here’s a little kitchen thrift I can fully get behind…don’t throw away those corn cobs! For my sweet corn risotto, I use the stripped cobs to infuse the cooking broth with extra sweetness and earthy corn flavor. The tender kernels add a lovely contrast to the creamy Arborio rice, butter, and Parmesan cheese. It’s rich and comforting without needing any heavy cream, and using every last bit of the corn makes it even more satisfying to prepare.

Corn + Zucchini: A Very Good Match

Corn and zucchini come into season around the same time, which is handy when your garden (or the farmers market!) is overflowing with both. Sweet corn gives zucchini a lovely pop of flavor and texture, and together they can make everything from a hearty baked pie to a crunchy raw salad. If you’ve still got more squash to use, our zucchini recipes roundup has plenty of other ideas, too!

A textural wonderland, truly! I leave both the zucchini AND sweet corn raw in my zucchini, corn, and toasted almond salad, which keeps everything wonderfully fresh and crisp. Toasted almonds add a buttery crunch, ribbons of Parmesan bring a little saltiness, and a homemade lemon-mint dressing ties it all together. There’s no need to heat the oven, it’s ready in 25 minutes, and each serving costs just $0.99!

Corn on the Cob

Sometimes, a little butter and salt are all sweet corn really needs. You can let the grill do its thing for that lovely summer flavor or take the quick and easy route with the microwave. Either method gives you juicy, tender kernels without much fuss, so pick whichever suits your day.

I’ve loved corn on the cob since I was a kid, and grilling it is still one of my favorite ways to enjoy it. For my grilled corn on the cob, I soak the ears and cook them right in their husks, letting the corn steam inside while the outside gets beautifully charred. There’s no need to buy aluminum foil, so that’s one less thing to spend money on or throw away! A grill pan also works when cooking outdoors isn’t an option.

PakarPBN

A Private Blog Network (PBN) is a collection of websites that are controlled by a single individual or organization and used primarily to build backlinks to a “money site” in order to influence its ranking in search engines such as Google. The core idea behind a PBN is based on the importance of backlinks in Google’s ranking algorithm. Since Google views backlinks as signals of authority and trust, some website owners attempt to artificially create these signals through a controlled network of sites.

In a typical PBN setup, the owner acquires expired or aged domains that already have existing authority, backlinks, and history. These domains are rebuilt with new content and hosted separately, often using different IP addresses, hosting providers, themes, and ownership details to make them appear unrelated. Within the content published on these sites, links are strategically placed that point to the main website the owner wants to rank higher. By doing this, the owner attempts to pass link equity (also known as “link juice”) from the PBN sites to the target website.

The purpose of a PBN is to give the impression that the target website is naturally earning links from multiple independent sources. If done effectively, this can temporarily improve keyword rankings, increase organic visibility, and drive more traffic from search results.
